Adam LaMotte is becoming well known to audiences throughout the country as a leader of both period and modern ensembles. He has appeared as soloist, concertmaster, and conductor of numerous orchestras, including the Northwest Sinfonietta in Seattle, String Orchestra of the Rockies, Astoria Festival Orchestra, Portland Baroque Orchestra, and the Maggini Sttring Orchestra in Houston. Mr. LaMotte recently returned from studying under Maestro Dumitru Goia in Bucharest, Romania, and continutes his study of conducting with Gregory Vajda, Resident Conductor of the Oregon Symphony.

As violinist and voilist, Adam has been hailed by critics as an "especially compelling" and "superb violinist" with "exceptional talent," whose performances are "energetic and exquisite." Adam can be heard on the Cinnabar, Naxos, and Warner Classics labels. In collaboration with ensembles such as American Bach Soloists, Portland Baroque Orchestra, and Trinity Consort, Mr. LaMotte performs on period instruments and uses a fine Italian instrument made in 1730 by Bernardo Calegni; for which he is indebted to his generous patrons who made the purchase possible.

London-born Monica Huggett is one of the world's leading baroque violinists. As both soloist and leader she has worked with all the major conductors and orchestras in Europe. She was invited to form the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra with Ton Koopman, and was the orchestra's concert master from 1980-1987. Currently she spends much of her time in the USA, where she is artistic director of the Portland Baroque Orchestra, and also in Spain, where she holds a similar position with the Seville Baroque Orchestra. In the UK her work centres on her ensemble Sonnerie, which won the prestigious Baroque Instrumental Gramophone Award in 2002 with a CD of Sonatas by HIF Biber, the late 17th century Bohemian violin virtuoso and composer.

Monica has been working on regular basis with the Irish Baroque Orchestra since early 2004, and in June 2006 was appointed musical director.

Monica started the Montana Baroque Festival with Jean Morrison in 2004, and loves her yearly pilgrimage to Montana to play good music with friends, and enjoy the atmosphere of the "wild west"!
